This cocktail is directly from the New Deal website, designed to feature their delicious and possibly entirely unique cascara liqueur.

Cascara is the oft-overlooked fruit of the coffee cherry and has an incredible flavor in it’s own right, redolent with the flavors of fig, cookies, spices and fruit. I made a convincing and delicious cola-style soda from simple syrup flavored with cascara a friend gave me and now that I’m thinking about it I might just make it again.
In any case, New Deal’s Cascara Liqueur is part of their long line of quietly inventive and thoughtfully made liqueurs, and I hope I can contribute to you trying it because it is excellent.
You would think it would go extremely well with whiskey, and you’d be right. It also goes well with rum, pear brandy, and probably a bunch of other stuff I haven’t even thought of yet.
